History (minor)

A minor consists of a minimum of 18 credits in a particular discipline and requires one 1000-level course and two 3000- and/or 4000-level courses. The remainder may be chosen from current discipline course offerings at any level and are determined by the student and academic advisor.

Students must choose three of the following courses:

  • HIST 1115 – Western Civilization
  • HIST 1130 – U.S. History I
  • HIST 1135 – U.S. History II
  • HIST 2120 – The Making of the Modern World

In addition, students must choose three of the following courses:

  • HIST 3110 – Civil Rights in America
  • HIST 3115 – U.S. History since 1945
  • HIST 3120 – History of the Civil War
  • HIST 3125 – Women’s History in America
  • GEOG 3110 – Cultural Geography
  • POSC 2130 – International Relations
