Beekeeping Master

In this course, you will learn beyond the basics of beekeeping: Honey bee overwintering, and bee behavior. Learn about how Honey bees make honey, and how to extract this for human use. Also, you will be able to identify wax and learn to relieve this from the hive and render the wax for value added products. In addition, you will overview and practice how to prepare yourself for research on Honey bee colonies. Upon completion, participants will have a mastering level of beekeeping knowledge necessary to manage a backyard apiary for the entire year. Participants will also have hands on experience extracting honey and rendering wax from a hive.
