Keystone College observatory announces April 8 eclipse viewing hours

The Keystone College Thomas G. Cupillari Astronomical Observatory will be open from 1:30- 5 p.m. on Monday, April 8 for the 95 percent partial solar eclipse.

The eclipse begins at 2:08 p.m. and ends at 4:35 p.m. Maximum coverage is at 3:23 p.m. There will be a brief program prior to the event about how to safely view the sun. The Observatory will have telescopes with solar filters and solar eclipse glasses for safe viewing will be available.

Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory is located at the intersection of Route 107 approximately two miles west of Interstate 81, exit 202, and approximately two miles east of Fleetville.
