Keystone College Observatory announces summer sessions

Jun 17, 2022

The Keystone College Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory will offer a four-week summer schedule beginning Wednesday, July 20 and continuing each Wednesday and Friday evening from 9-11 p.m. through Friday, August 12. The sessions are provided free of charge as a community service. Advanced registration or reservations are not required.

Masks are required and social distancing protocols will be observed. All sessions will be held outdoors or in the unheated observatory buildings, so those attending should dress accordingly. Overcast skies or inclement weather will force a cancelation of the evening’s session.

For more information, contact Jo-Ann Kamichitis (570) 945-8402, observatory@keystone.edu or visit http://www.keystone.edu/observatory/. The Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory is located at the intersection of Route 107 approximately two miles west of Interstate 81, exit 202, and approximately two miles east of Fleetville.
