Pennsylvania State Police College Internship Program
Pennsylvania State Police Partnership
Keystone College has partnered with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) to provide students with a unique pathway to complete their degree while beginning a career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper.
Through this partnership, eligible students who are accepted into the Pennsylvania State Police Academy may earn academic credit toward the completion of their bachelor’s degree by successfully completing cadet training. This opportunity allows students to apply their academy training toward their remaining degree requirements while preparing for a career as a PA State Trooper.
This pathway is available to students in their senior year and is not limited to criminal justice majors. Students who participate in this pathway may:
- Earn academic credits through successful completion of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy at Hershey, PA.
- Complete their degree simultaneously while preparing to become a PA State Trooper
- Apply academy training toward completion of their bachelor’s degree.
No prior law enforcement experience is required to participate in this program. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in one of Keystone’s bachelor’s degree programs. Upon successful completion of academy training, cadets are promoted to Pennsylvania State Trooper. After five years of service, the average trooper earns $95,000.
