11th President of Keystone College
Tracy Brundage, Ph.D. became the 11th president and 20th leader of Keystone College in July, 2018. Prior to her appointment as president, Dr. Brundage served as Keystone’s provost and vice president for academic affairs for the 2017-2018 academic year. Before coming to Keystone, she served as vice president of workforce development at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pa.
Before Keystone College, Dr. Brundage served in a wide variety of academic and operational leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development in both higher education and the private sector. Her varied and high-level leadership experiences in those realms, along with her academic training and expertise, have enabled her to develop a clear vision of our nation’s higher education and career-training landscape and she applied that vision during her tenure at Keystone. Dr. Brundage’s skills, leadership, and values propelled Keystone forward as an educational and community leader for the coming years and beyond.
Dr. Brundage holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Gettysburg College, a master of education in training and development and a doctorate in workforce education and development, both from Penn State University. A Scranton native, Dr. Brundage appreciates the close-knit nature of the Northeastern Pennsylvania community and shares the tireless dedication that people bring to their jobs and family lives. Her career reflects her desire to make a positive impact on society and help others succeed in their personal and professional endeavors.
After graduating from Gettysburg College, she began her career as a corporate trainer for a leading Washington, D.C. consulting firm. Upon completing her master’s degree, she served as director of workforce development and continuing education at Harrisburg Community College. She then served as director of continuing education at Penn State University/York, where she managed programs and courses marketed to adult students and served as the university’s representative to local businesses and community organizations.
As vice president for workforce development at Pennsylvania College of Technology, she developed and implemented numerous workforce initiatives designed to assist students, graduates, and members of the community improve their career skills. She managed a $35 million budget as she planned and developed visions and goals for workforce development, technology transfer services, articulations, and economic development initiatives.
While serving as provost and vice president of academic affairs at Keystone, Dr. Brundage managed all academic programs including master’s degrees and the Keystone College Virtual Campus online program. She forged key partnerships between Keystone and local health care and economic development organizations and began to increase the college’s partnerships with other business sectors as well.
A recognized expert in her field, Dr. Brundage has testified on workforce development initiatives before many state and national committees, including the United State House of Representatives. She has also served as a faculty member at Penn College and Harrisburg Area Community College, teaching a variety of management, information technology, and human resource courses. In the private sector, she has owned and operated a Victorian bed and breakfast in Lock Haven, Pa., and worked as an information technology instructor with a private firm in Lancaster, Pa.
At Keystone, she led developments including the introduction of new high-demand, career-based majors. Dr. Brundage has also expanded internship and experiential learning opportunities for students to prepare them for their personal and career success.
Through her leadership, Keystone introduced other advancements such as the Keystone Professional Development Institute, which offers career training and certificate programs for adults seeking to advance their careers or begin new ones.
