During my internship, I learned how important communication and relationship-building are in athletics. Connecting with players, understanding their strengths, and giving clear feedback helped build trust and improve performance. I also developed better skills by managing schedules, recruiting information, and team activities. Overall, I gained a deeper understanding of how teamwork extends beyond just playing on the court. 

Before this internship, I did not realize how much effort goes into recruiting behind the scenes. It is not just about watching talent—it involves constant communication, evaluating character, and keeping detailed records. I was also surprised by how fast-paced and demanding the environment can be. This experience showed me that coaching requires both strategic thinking and strong people skills. 

One challenge I faced was learning how to balance multiple responsibilities at once, such as helping with practices while also managing recruiting tasks. At first, it felt overwhelming to keep track of everything and stay organized. To overcome this, I started prioritizing tasks and using a planner to manage my time more effectively. I also asked for guidance from coaches when I was not sure how to handle certain situations. 

One fun fact from my experience was getting to help organize and take part in team bonding activities. These moments showed a different side of the athletes and helped build stronger team chemistry. It was memorable to see how small activities could make a significant impact on team morale. 

My advice for future interns is to take initiative and not be afraid to ask questions. Coaches appreciate when you are willing to learn and step up when needed. It is also important to stay organized and manage your time well, especially when juggling multiple tasks. Lastly, build relationships with players and staff—it makes the experience more enjoyable and helps you grow professionally.
