Keystone College Music Students Perform at Prestigious Statewide Honors Festival

Members of the Keystone College Department of Performance Music recently participated in the 78th annual Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Honors Band Festival, held March 6–8 at Bucknell University. Representing Keystone College were Dylan Cummings, Walter Donohue, Alexia Diaz, and Alexander Edwards, who performed alongside top student musicians from 20 colleges and universities across the Commonwealth, including Carnegie Mellon University and Penn State University.
A highlight of this year’s festival was the opportunity to perform under the direction of world-renowned composer Frank Ticheli, who served as guest conductor. The experience culminated in a concert presented to a capacity audience at Bucknell University, marking the conclusion of the longest-running intercollegiate honors band festival in the United States.
Participation in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Honors Band Festival is a competitive and highly selective honor, recognizing outstanding musicianship and academic achievement. Keystone College’s student performers were selected based on nominations from Director of Bands from various institutions and a rigorous audition process.
