POSITION: Communicatons, Art and Humanities Department Assistant

This newly-created position is ideal for someone with organizational talents and who is not afraid to dig into a cluttered area and clean it up. This requires organization of both digital and analog documents, objects, and to a degree, workspaces.

This is a part-time position that has a limit of 54 hours per semester. The pay is $12 per hour. Hours per week will vary as it is a project-based job.

Tasks will include:

 Digitization of files (scanning, digital organizing/filing)
• Shredding documents
• Organizing and disposing of unneeded items in classroom areas and lab areas
• Helping with cleanup (safe items only) and organization of art areas
• Organization of:
o Historical student projects (mostly printed)
o Adjunct office areas
o Communal areas in the department’s designated spaces
o Keystone Press book archives
o The Plume issues archival
o Assistance with posting flyers for The Plume events

• Other organizational and miscellaneous tasks as needed and reasonable with the allotted hours

REQUIREMENTS:
• Self-starter, comfortable with working independently but not afraid to ask questions
• Organizational abilities
• Resourcefulness – finds creative solutions to get things done
• Positive energy
• Flexible – will work with all members of the department at different times
