Keystone College will host a Transfer Day for Clarks Summit University students on Thursday, July 18, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Fireplace Lounge of the Hibbard Campus Center on the La Plume campus. This CSU Transfer Day will be held prior to the College’s previously scheduled Transfer Orientation beginning at 1:30 p.m.
“The Keystone College community was saddened by the recent announcement from Clarks Summit University. We understand that the news was devasting for the intimate CSU community. But this decision impacts our community as well as the local and larger higher education community. As an educational partner, Keystone wanted to reach out to help and do everything we can to assist the CSU students with continuing their journey to degree completion in as timely and as seamless a way as possible,” said Keystone President John F. Pullo, Sr.
Highlights of the CSU Transfer Day include accelerated application process with instant decision for students who can bring their CSU transcript with them; credit evaluation; financial aid and scholarship assistance; and the opportunity to speak with residence life and athletics representatives and have a guided tour of campus. CSU students are also encouraged to show their CSU pride by wearing their favorite CSU gear.
“As we were discussing how Keystone could help the CSU students, it seemed most appropriate to invite them to campus,” said Tim Pryle, Vice President of Enrollment, Institutional Advancement, and Marketing at Keystone. “With Transfer Orientation already scheduled for July 18 and all campus services prepared for that event, hosting CSU students earlier in the day gives those students access to all of our campus services. And, if they have an interest, we invite them to stay for the Transfer Orientation to get better acclimated. There is no commitment to attend Keystone if they attend Orientation. We appreciate the traumatic experience these students are going through and we want to be an option for them to finish their degrees.”
CSU students are encouraged to reach out to the Keystone Admissions Office at 570-945-8622 with any questions or for additional information.
