The Keystone College Department of Performance Music will host its final spring 2023 concert on Sunday, May 7, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Theatre in Brooks on campus.
The concert, “The Love Found in Jazz” will feature the KC Jazz Ensemble and is free of charge to the public.
The hour-long concert will offer a variety of tunes from traditional vocal jazz swing favorites to funk and samba charts such as “The Chicken,” and Chick Corea’s “Spain.” Many of the songs will celebrate love and romance, such as Ray Charles’ “Hallelujah I Love Her So,” I Can’t Believe You’re In Love With Me,” “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” and “Lover, Come Back To Me.” There will also be songs from famous jazz legends such as Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington, and Billy Strayhorn.
