Keystone College launches Futures Appeal

Dear Friends of Keystone College:
The last several months have been an unprecedented time in the history of Keystone College. Like other colleges throughout our region and our nation, Keystone has been faced with significant and unexpected challenges dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The disruption caused by the pandemic has impacted us both operationally and financially even more than we had anticipated. Expenses such as providing technologically-equipped and connected classrooms, developing safe spaces for students to gather and interact, and purchasing an ongoing stock of cleaning and other necessary supplies are now very much a part of our everyday undertakings.

Lost revenue due to a decline in students and in residence hall occupancy, increased costs of social distancing measures, and expenses related to remote learning have had a dramatic impact.
Largely unanticipated, these costs will likely continue for the spring semester and well into the future. They are, nevertheless, critical necessities if we are to provide the safe, high-quality, personalized education our students expect and deserve.
Even before the pandemic, we were undertaking significant initiatives to make a Keystone education more relevant, equitable, and inclusive for all of our students. We continue to provide pathways to a successful future through revised academic programming, added emphasis on internships and other experiential learning initiatives, as well as certification and training programs for working adults.
With a sense of urgency, we are asking our loyal alumni and friends to support our $1.5 million appeal to help Keystone navigate these challenging times. Our success depends on you!
