La Plume, Pa. – More than 350 high school students from 11 local high schools will visit Keystone College on Thursday, December 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. to participate in the Region 27 Future Business Leaders of America Leadership Conference.
Participating schools include: Athens, Blue Ridge, Forest City, Montrose, Mountain View, Sayre, Susquehanna County, Towanda, Troy, Tunkhannock, and Wyalusing.
Students will participate in a variety of events and business-related competitions to test their knowledge and business acumen in such areas as business ethics, client service, job interviewing and public speaking.
There will also be a variety of workshops on business and career-related topics. Students who qualify will advance to the state competition in Hershey in April. There will also be a variety of business-related presentations and seminars for all students. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony from 1-2 p.m.
