La Plume – Keystone College will kick off this year’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities and parade weekend with a live performance by The Quietmen, on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the Theatre in Brooks. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Quietmen, a traditional and contemporary Celtic band, perform a variety of musical genres including Irish sing along and ballads, old timey folk, and acoustic hits from the ‘50s through today. The band originated in Scranton, grew up in Dalton, and now plays everywhere from the Poconos to the New Jersey Shore, Northern Virginia and beyond.

The Quietmen feature Jamie Ratchford on guitar, vocals, harmonica, and kazoo; Paddy Ratchford on keyboard, vocals, and bodhran (Irish frame drum); Danny Ratchford on guitar, vocals, mandolin and ukulele; and Molly “Quietgirl” Ratchford-Malone on the tin whistle.
