The Linder Gallery at Keystone College will present the exhibit ”Sugar, Spice, Not Very Nice” by artist Katie Hovencamp, February 27–April 14 on campus. Ms. Hovencamp will speak about her work on Wednesday, March 1 from 4–5 p.m., followed by a reception from 5–7 p.m. in the Gallery. The public is invited to attend these free events.

The exhibit features self-portraits, iron and bronze sculptures, and illustrations that explore the female identity in today’s society.

Ms. Hovencamp has exhibited her work in the United States, United Kingdom, and Latvia. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Arizona State University and a master of fine degree arts from Pennsylvania State University, where she was a University Graduate Fellow and was recognized for her sculpture work. Ms. Hovencamp participated in residency programs at Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Ireland, the Vermont Studio Center, and with the International Sculpture Center at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City, N.J.

She has taught at various institutions, including Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Keystone College.
