The Keystone College Environmental Education Institute will conduct the workshop Introduction to Wild Edibles and Medical Plants on Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m.-noon.
The workshop will be hosted by Nathaniel Whitmore, a noted herbalist who specializes in wild food and medicinal herbs in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. The program will feature a hands-on opportunity to identify wild edibles and learn about the medicinal value of wild plants. The workshop will include a walk through Keystone’s scenic Woodlands Campus in search of common edible plants, roots, and mushrooms.
