Keystone College has been recognized for offering one of the top online accounting programs in the nation by a leading educational web site.
Affordable Colleges Online (ACO) has listed Keystone’s online accounting major as the 20th best online accounting program. ACO evaluated hundreds of online accounting programs and ranked them according to a variety of metrics, including cost, student-teacher ratio, graduation rate, financial aid, and professional accreditation. ACO is sponsored by the Affordable Colleges Foundation, an organization which provides data and information about affordable higher education programs.
“Students wishing to enter the field of accounting, one of the of the fastest-growing career fields available, have more educational options than ever before,” said Dan Schuessler, founder and CEO of the Affordable Colleges Foundation. “The schools on our list not only have more online accounting degree programs than their peers, but also boast cost structures and student support that makes a tremendous difference. They deserve to be recognized.”
The Keystone College bachelor’s degree in accounting offers an 11:1 student/teacher ratio and 88 percent of students receive financial aid. The program is designed to develop professional, managerial, and technical excellence in accounting and related business fields. Through the completely online program, students learn to accumulate and summarize information, analyze and interpret results, and present information for business decision making. Keystone offers a rolling admission policy throughout the year so candidates are encouraged to apply anytime.
Keystone also offers a traditional “in-class” bachelor’s degree in accounting and recently received permission from the United States Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Education to offer a master’s degree in accounting, which is offered in an online format.
