The Keystone College Concerts and Lectures Series will welcome Ryan Kahn, one of the nation’s most recognized career coaches for recent college graduates, on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Theatre in Brooks. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Mr. Kahn’s interactive presentation, “Hired! From Classroom to Career” will walk college students and recent grads through the process of landing their dream job, even in today’s difficult economy. Mr. Kahn will provide the audience with real-life examples, tips, and industry secrets he learned in securing positions for thousands of clients. Participants will leave with a detailed roadmap on getting hired, advice on how to stand out, and the inspiration to advance in their career.
Star of MTV’s “Hired!” and author of “Hired! The Guide for the Recent Grad,” Mr. Kahn has placed thousands of college students, recent grads, and job seekers on the path to their dream career.
Mr. Khan is an experienced speaker, giving presentations and keynote addresses at colleges and conventions across the country. He also serves as a topic expert for the media, with his advice featured in hundreds of news outlets including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and US News & World Report.
A Southern California native, Mr. Kahn graduated with an undergraduate degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He continued his education with a degree in music business from UCLA’s entertainment studies program. While attending UCLA, Mr. Kahn interned for such entertainment powerhouses as The Firm, DC Management, and the Warner Music Group.
An avid music fan, Mr. Kahn spends his free time playing bass in a Los Angeles, The Night Riders, which has headlined on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. To help support and inspire the next generation of musicians, he founded Rock Start, a charity that donates musical instruments to children in need.
