Dr. Joseph Iacovazzi, Professor of Wildlife Biology and Chair of the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences and Mathematics at Keystone College, served as a themed guest reader at Moscow Elementary School on Wednesday, March 4, in celebration of Read Across America Week.
As part of this year’s “Camp Out” theme, Dr. Iacovazzi read engaging stories featuring a spider and a snake and introduced students to live spiders and snakes to enhance the learning experience. Through this interactive presentation, students learned about the ecological importance of these often feared and misunderstood species and explore how wildlife biologists study and protect them.
This outreach reflects Keystone College’s continued commitment to community engagement, experiential education, and inspiring the next generation of scientists and environmental stewards.
