Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and the Impact of Other Substances

Presenter: Martha Thompson PsyD., LPC., CAA

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and the impact of other substances on the developing fetus can be difficult to detect depending on the severity. This workshop will explore the history and current trends of FASD around the world. We will look at the impact of alcohol as well as other substances such as marijuana, opioids, and amphetamines. Participants will develop insights into identifying, working with, and helping children and families affected by FASD as well as the resources available.
