The Keystone College Service Club will be showing – or rather sowing – its true colors to the community next week.

The college’s Center for Civic Engagement and Service Learning (CESL) is sponsoring an alternative spring break trip to Washington, D.C. The trip, supervised by CESL director Maria Fanning, will take place from Saturday, March 12 through Tuesday, March 15.

Keystone College students will volunteer at the Community for Creative Non-Violence and sow sleeping bags. Students will spend their spare time touring memorials and museums in the capital, including the Washington Monument, Native American Indian Museum, and Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, among others.

Students who will participate on this trip are: Temitope Adesanya, Tobyhanna; Matthew Bennett, La Plume; Nicolette Carrion, Lyndhurst, N.J.; Madeline Ferrara, Scranton; Kelly Gordon, Hallstead; Williamson Jacques, Clarks Summit; Nyasia Smith, Tobyhanna; Xiagni Wang, Factoryville; and Courtney Woolaver, Old Forge.
