Keystone College has been ranked by a national magazine as one of the best schools in the northeast region of the nation for providing students with an excellent education at an affordable cost.

Washington Monthly magazine’s annual College Guide edition ranked Keystone 33rd in the Northeast for offering the “Best Bang for the Buck” in the publication’s annual College Guide edition. Based in Washington, D.C., Washington Monthly covers government, politics, education, and other national issues.

The “Best Bang for the Buck” ranking listed the top 100 schools by region of the country. Scores were based on performance in several categories including cost, financial aid, graduation rate, student loan default rate, and other similar academic and financial measurements.

“We are extremely pleased and honored to be ranked among the Northeast’s best colleges in terms of offering a great education at an affordable tuition rate,” said Keystone College President David L. Coppola, Ph.D. “This ranking is a tribute to all of our students, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to making Keystone the best it can be each and every day.”

Last fall, Keystone College was ranked for the ninth consecutive year as one of the nation’s best colleges in U.S. News & World Report. Keystone finished in the top tier in the Regional Colleges/North category. In another key listing in the magazine’s annual “Best Colleges” edition, Keystone was tied for eighth in the Regional Colleges/North category with an 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

Keystone offers more than 40 undergraduate and graduate degree options in liberal arts and science based programs in business, communications, education, fine arts, natural science, environmental resource management, geology and social sciences. Located 15 minutes from Scranton, Pa. and two hours from New York City and Philadelphia, Keystone is known for small class sizes and individual attention focused on student success through internships, research, and community involvement.
