The Guild Writing Retreat

An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until April 23, 2020

Disconnect from your daily obligations and WRITE! Whether Poetry, fiction, plays, screenplays, or work on your dissertation, please join us to work on your creative or research projects. Our writing retreats are open to all members of the Keystone community. No sign-up required. The Guild is the creative outlet at Keystone, including WKCV, “The Key,” and “The Plume.” Each week, retreats will feature a theme to spark creativity. Upcoming themes include:

Feb 13 – Write a plot to a story, movie, comic, etc.

Feb 20 – Write a poem about something or someone you love.

Feb 27 – Focus on an outline for a story, essay, or film you would want to write.

March 5 – Write dialogue to a disagreement or fight.

March 19 – Write an alternative ending to your favorite movie, story novel, poem, etc.

March 26 – Write a character in so much detail it tells us about their life.

April 2 – Write a short story from two different points of view.

April 9 – Write about your favorite food.

April 16 – Write a letter to someone you admire.

April 23- Pick a photo you enjoy and bring it to life by describing what’s happening in it, or making up a backstory for it.
