Public Health Week: Public Health Professions Career Panel (Virtual Event)

Open to current Keystone College students, recent Keystone graduates Gabi Henry Bevan ’14, Kaleen Pastrana ’17, and Taylor Tavares Parker ’18 will share valuable insight and advice on how to achieve success in the public health field.
Gabi Henry Bevan ’14 is currently an ORISE research fellow at CDC/NIOSH supporting the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among her many responsibilities, Gabi helps the worker safety and health team create weekly situational reports, disperses weekly team update documents, coordinates all worker safety and health clearance products.
Gabi graduated from Keystone College in 2014 with a bachelor of science degree in forensic biology and received a master of public health with a concentration in epidemiology from West Virginia University.
Kaleen Pastrana ’17 is a vital team member at United Neighborhood Centers where she helps the homeless population find adequate housing. She also divides her time between the Lackawanna County Treatment Court as the daily reporting director, and the Lackawanna County Domestic Violence Court as the facilitator of a batterers’ intervention group. Moving forward, she hopes to explore the care and training of a therapy dog for court participants. Kaleen graduated from Keystone College in 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in public health and psychology.
Taylor Tavares Parker ’18 currently serves as the program coordinator for brain injury services at the Supported Living Group. Connecticut. She began her career in health and human services as a residential administrative coordinator at Horizon Village, an inpatient residential facility for adults with substance use and mental health disorders and transitioned to the position of care coordinator.
Taylor graduated from Keystone College in 2018 with a bachelor of science degree in public health and received a master of business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration from Niagara University.
