Photography Lecture: Luke Wynne

Enjoy a lecture by Luke Wynne, a well-respected portrait and fine art photographer. Learn about this work as a portrait photographer beginning in Hollywood, Calif., and in other locations over the years. Wynne will also give a portrait lighting demonstration following the lecture to interested students, which is a rare opportunity.
Luke Wynne began his photographic career in New York City where his work appeared in Andy Warhol’s Interview, New York Magazine, and Cosmopolitan. He moved to Los Angeles in 1980 where he was an editorial, portrait and movie photographer. His portraits of Hollywood actors such as Richard Gere, Whoopi Goldberg, and Dennis Hopper were syndicated worldwide by the Gamma Liaison Agency.
While living in Italy from 1999 to 2010, Wynne had a number of solo exhibitions. He returned to the United States in 2010, and now resides in Easton, Pa. Wynne received a project grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2011. His recent group shows include: FUSE, Allentown, Pa.; National Arts Club, New York City; and the White Gallery, Lakeville, Conn. Wynne’s solo shows include: STRUCTURE, New Arts Program, Kutztown, Pa.; Rust Belt Biennial, Sordoni Gallery, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and Artists in Residence featuring 70 portraits of artists, 2 Banana Factory/Crayola Gallery, Bethlehem, Pa.
