COVID-19 Management FAQs

What should I expect this academic year on campus?

The health and well-being of the campus community remains Keystone’s priority.  As we return to a sense of normalcy, we expect students, faculty, and staff to maintain many of the practices that have seen us through the pandemic. Keystone community members are expected to continue to practice good hygiene by frequently washing and sanitizing hands and staying home if sick.

Additionally, although the COVID-19 vaccine is no longer required for future semesters, students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to become fully vaccinated, receive a booster shot when it is appropriate to do so.

Do I need to wear a face mask/covering and maintain social distancing when on campus?

Currently, the use of face masks is optional in non-academic indoor and outdoor areas on campus.  Additionally, masks are also optional at the discretion of individual instructors in campus locations where academic instruction takes place.

Do I need to quarantine if I am fully vaccinated and been exposed to COVID-19?

In line with CDC guidance, individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 do not need to quarantine after an exposure to COVID-19. However, it is recommended that individuals wear a mask in public indoor settings for 10 days, be tested on day 5 following exposure, and isolate if they test positive or develop symptoms.
