Keystone College is teaming up with the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center to bring you ServSafe Certification Classes/Exams. Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture states that a food service establishment should employ, or designate, at least one certified supervisory employee who has completed and passed an approved certification course. ServSafe, a nationally recognized certification program for safe food handling practices, meets Pennsylvania regulations and is accredited by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
About the ServSafe Training
ServSafe training covers topics involving food-borne illnesses and health risks that workers in the commercial food service industry must learn.There is an in-class component of the program and an exam at the completion of the course.
Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Deadline is October 19.
All classes held from 8 a.m. sharp to approximately 6 p.m. Exit time may be earlier if the participant completes exam in less time.
Class & Certification Exam – $179 per person
For first-time participants and those whose certification is about to expire or is already past the expiration date.
Includes: Book (ServSafe® Manager, 7th Edition), Classroom Instruction, Lunch, and all Exam-related Fees
- Confirmation letters, directions, and books are mailed or available for pick up as soon as paid registration is received.
- Due to the self-study requirement, participants must register no later than 7 days prior to the class.
- Participants are expected to review the ServSafe textbook, which will be provided once registration is received, for a minimum of 7 hours prior to the scheduled course.
Exam Only – $135 per person
Participants arrive at approximately 3:30 p.m. to take the exam. Includes exam-related fees only. If you recently completed a course but did not pass the exam, we have special pricing available. Please contact us to discuss your options.
