POSITION: Education Faculty, Full-Time, Tenure Track, Assistant Professor
REPORTS TO: Department Chair – Education
The School of Professional Studies at Keystone College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Education to begin August 2023.
A terminal degree from a regionally or nationally accredited program is required in education or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment as well as state teaching certification. Certification in early childhood, elementary or special education is preferable. A demonstrable ability to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in education is required. Experience with online teaching and learning is beneficial. The candidate may participate in the development of new courses and curricula. The successful applicant will exhibit a willingness to mentor undergraduate teacher candidates. All full-time faculty at Keystone College serve as academic advisors and serve on college committees. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Scholarship, service to the College, and a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentorship of students is expected of all candidates.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated. Keystone College is a private, co-educational college where the emphasis is on undergraduate education.
