POSITION: Assistant Professor, Sport and Recreation Management (Full-Time, Tenure Track)

REPORTS TO: Department Chair, Business, Management, and Technology Department/Program Director Sport and Recreation Management

Keystone College welcomes applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to become a part of the Sport and Recreation Management faculty in the Business, Management, and Technology Department beginning August 2022.

Qualified applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Sport Management (or related field), ABD considered.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the sport management curriculum in all or some of the following areas: Introduction to Sport and Recreation Management, Sport Law, Sport Marketing, Sport Business Practices, Sport Ethics, Commercial or Resort Recreation and other electives in the specialized sport areas.

The successful applicant will exhibit a willingness to mentor student internship experiences and undergraduate research projects. Experience with online teaching and learning is a plus. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Scholarship; service to the College; a strong commitment to advising; and, mentorship of students, including research involving undergraduates is expected.

A candidate with a history of seeking and/or obtaining external funding is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate an expertise and a research focus in an area of sport management as well as the ability to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. The candidate will be expected to carry an appropriate committee load to share in faculty governance.

In addition, the successful candidate must show evidence of the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated.
