About Janet M. Jones

Janet has spent 25 years in the fields of continuing education and workforce and organizational development. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master of science in organizational management. She began her career in higher education at Penn State University as a coordinator of public professional development training programs.
Janet’s career has centered on being a liaison between business/industry and education/training resources. She listens to the needs of an organization related to the skills of their employees and the organization’s ability to work effectively and efficiently. She is able to identify the issues related to skill and education gaps for employees and infrastructure or process barriers within an organization. Janet identifies a solutions-based approach to build customized education and training programs with content experts that will have lasting impact on the participants and organizations. She focuses on high quality and cost-effective strategies to impact change and connects with available grant resources and tuition reimbursement programs for underwriting.
Janet believes that a skilled and educated workforce is an organization’s greatest asset which leads to engaged employees and an organizational culture that works. Her goals are to provide positive impact on skills, education and career advancement of individual participants, and to provide solutions to workforce development challenges for organizations to compete in a global economy.
