POSITION: Admissions/Student Central Assistant(Part-Time)

REPORTS TO: Senior Supervisor

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-Time, Days/Hours of Work: 20-25 Hours per week

JOB PURPOSE: To provide support in both the Admissions and Student Central offices by completing data entry, processing documents, and responding to customers via phone, email, or in person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete data entry and processing of documents in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions in person , via e-mail and on the telephone
  • Provide backup support in daily communications flow
  • Completes assigned responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks as required, including filing, supplies, and serving as a back up to others
  • Note: Assignment will be made to admissions or student central based on need by the supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies and Education

  • High school diploma required, some college preferred
  • Minimum 1-5 years in customer service in higher education, banking, retail or a related field

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as listening skills
  • Adaptability and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, customer service, goal driven environment
