Credits Outside the Classroom
If you’re an adult student who would like to receive credit for knowledge you’ve already obtained, the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) permit you to convert your learning into college credit.
CLEP allows you to demonstrate your knowledge in many subject areas. CLEP exams are standardized tests that measure knowledge of material covered in introductory college courses, which may have been obtained through job experience, workshops, classes and/or volunteer experiences.
PLA offers students the chance to receive credit for work and life experience. Student’s learning is documented in a portfolio assessed by a faculty evaluator who ensures that work is organized to correspond with the Keystone College’s course requirements.
Credit for Military Experience
Keystone College awards credit toward a degree based on military training and coursework and evaluates students’ military experience for transfer credits.
