The mission of the Mofyah Step Team is to involve students in an activity that promotes cultural diversity, sisterhood and unity both on campus and in the community by participation in a structured form of stomping and hand clapping to rhythmic beats that stems from African traditions.
Meaning of the name "Mofyah"
Mofyah Step Team was started in 2004 by a group of girls at Keystone College who descended from Jamaican background. The name Mofyah, means "more fire".
