- Individual or Group Counseling
Counseling Services are free and confidential for individuals and groups. Talking with a counselor may be beneficial when you experience some or many of these stressors:
- Academic performance, test anxiety
- Interpersonal relationships, not getting along with friends or roommates
- Troubles with family, friends or romantic partners
- Patterns of unhealthy relationships, currently physically abusive relationships
- Low self esteem, poor body image, shyness, self-confidence
- Family concerns, death of a family member, unresolved or ongoing family difficulties, past sexual or physical abuse
- Questioning sexual orientation, coming out to friends and family
- Eating problems, binge eating, restricting, purging
- Stressful events, roommate/friend has experienced a trauma, unplanned pregnancy, loss of a pet, life threatening illness, homesickness
- Emotional difficulties that make it difficult to function on a daily basis such as drug and alcohol misuse, feelings of loneliness, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger management, sleeping problems, and stress management
Making the decision to go to counseling isn’t always easy, but people who are willing to work in a partnership with their counselor find relief from their problems and begin to concentrate on college and enjoy it.
