Corey Olson
Major: Natural Sciences: Biology
Class of: 2016
Hometown: Fair Oaks, California
Assigned Residence Hall: Moffat Hall

Favorite flavor ice cream:
Pineapple! Anything pineapple flavored is amazing!

Interesting thing about you:
I enjoy wearing colorful pants and am obsessed with grilled cheese sandwiches.

Favorite spot on campus:
The trails behind the main campus.

Why did you choose your major?
I really like animals and want to work with them in the future so I decided a biology track was a good route to take.

Why did you decide on Keystone College?
Well long story short, my friends and I had a bet on who could go the furthest away and I chose to go to Keystone because I liked the small class sizes and the student involvement. (I totally won that bet no matter what my friends say!)

What do you like most about Keystone?
I love how pretty the campus is!

Favorite member of the Keystone Family:
Susan Constantine, though she is retiring. She is an amazing teacher.

My favorite class:
Speech and Biology

Give one thing you were surprised to discover at Keystone College:
That there are a lot of forest critters roaming around campus. I’ve never seen so many deer before!

Advice for future students:
My advice would be don’t procrastinate. Although naps are wonderful, do your homework first! It helps in the long run to get everything done early. Also, to all future Chemistry students: do the homework that’s assigned even if it isn’t mandatory!

In my spare time:
I enjoy going on walks, hanging out with friends, and singing in my car (I have an amazing voice, but only in my car). I am also addicted to online shopping.

Future Goals/Plans:
After Keystone, I want to do my graduate school abroad in Ireland! And then I think I would enjoy working in a zoo or at a nature preserve.

How do you feel KC has, or will, help you in attaining these goals?
I feel like KC is such a tight-knit community that you get more help than you would at other schools. They make sure that whatever resources you need are available and they will always help when you have questions or problems.

Anything else you want to share:
Make sure to step out of your comfort zone! Everyone here is friendly, so no matter what new experience you try you are sure to be accepted!
