Major: Middle Level Education: Language Arts
Class of: 2014
Hometown: Limerick, PA
Assigned Residence Hall: Townhouses A at 210 College Ave (Townhouse Island)
Favorite flavor ice cream: Mint Chocolate Chip
Interesting thing about you: I love the Boston Bruins :)
Favorite spot on campus: Either the honors lounge or the big shade-covered rocks down by the creek. Although, you’ll find me at the Grill or in my room a lot.
Why did you choose your major? I like kids & want to make an impact on their lives the way my teachers impacted mine. I’d also love to coach field hockey, or maybe even lacrosse someday.
Why did you decide on Keystone College? To play field hockey, for its small class sizes (smaller than my high school classes!), and because I like the small town area. This is my mom’s hometown.
What do you like most about Keystone? All of the opportunities available to students who want them & all of the friends I’ve made here!
Favorite member of the Keystone Family: Owen Conaghan, College Counselor and Coordinator of Disability Services. He’s always looking out for me & is great to talk to!
My favorite class: Either my Feature Writing or Journalism classes. I like writing!
Give one thing you were surprised to discover at Keystone College: All of the little things on back campus like the sugar shack, the graveyard, suspension bridges, etc. Those things plus the creek really give this little campus a lot of character.
Advice for future students: Time management and organization may sound clichéd, but they are SUPER important. Trust me, all-nighters aren’t fun after the first night.
In my spare time: What spare time!? Just kidding. In my spare time I love spending time with my friends or family, watching movies, or playing field hockey.
Future Goals/Plans: Become an English teacher, become a coach, write a book, marry a wonderful guy, and raise a family.
How do you feel KC has, or will, help you in attaining these goals? Keystone has already shown me I really have a passion for writing and expressing myself whether that is as a teacher or in other written forms. Beyond that, I feel more confident in front of people now than I did on my first day on campus which is a great accomplishment that will help me in the future.
Anything else you want to share: Friends and family are very important to me. That’s what Townhouse Island was for me last year, and I expect it to be the same this year! It’s going to be a FUN year! :)
