New Incoming Resident Information

Welcome to the New Incoming Residents page. This page is aimed at providing incoming resident students, parents and potential resident students with most information possbile about living at Keystone College. Feel free to contact Residence Life office if there are any questions.

It is Keystone College's policy that first year students who live outside a 50- mile radius from Keystone College and who are under the age of 21 must live on campus if they are not residing with a parent or legal guardian. There are two residence hall Moffat and Frear designed for first-year students. The residence halls compliment what happens in the classroom by creating Living/Learning Initiatives. Students have the option to request roommates according to their academic major, hometown, wellness, 24-hour quiet suite or, if a student athlete in a particular varsity sport.

The primary goal of Residence Life is to create an optimal living and learning environment. In order to achieve this goal, the residence life staff are committed to the development of the person intellectually, emotionally, socially, culturally, spiritually, and physically. We strive in conjunction with students, faculty, and other community members to:
1. Promote an environment, on campus and within the halls, conducive to socially accountable attitudes and behaviors through the creation of a residence hall community that fosters personal growth.
2. Assist students in achieving academic and personal growth, as well as providing the opportunity for leadership, self-governance, decision-making, and the formulation of a personal value system.
3. Provide a diversified, well-coordinated program of intentional co-curricular activities.
4. Engage in a collaborative effort for the development of a community in which faculty, students, and administrators live, work, and learn in a respectful relationship.
5. Establish and maintain a quality physical environment through our housekeeping and maintenance staffs that ensures proper health, safety, and living conditions, and that enhances the goals and objectives of our residence life program.
