"At Home in the Great Outdoors"
Kathleen Butzer will be the first one to tell you she feels more at home outdoors than indoors. That’s okay because Kathleen plans to spend most of her life working outdoors, now that she has a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology from Keystone College.
"Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed the outdoors. As I grew older and began to study the environment, I’ve become drawn to aspect of science involving nature and animals."

Kathleen will use her degree from Keystone to pursue a career working as an environmental biologist with a state or federal environmental organization.
"The chance to experience nature every day is really special to me. I wouldn’t think of doing anything else. Thanks to my education at Keystone, I’m ready to move on to the next step."
In addition to pursuing a career, Kathleen stays busy raising her daughter, Carlee, who is not yet 2 years old. "She means the world to me and I hope to teach her to love and respect nature as much as I do."
