"Pursuing a Career in Creativity"
Now that he has recently graduated from Keystone College, Alex Atanassov plans on making his mark in advertising and public relations. Based on his creative talents developed during his time at Keystone, there’s little doubt he’ll do exactly that.
Alex, who obtained his bachelor’s degree in communications, culminated his senior year with an intriguing project for the Annual Spring Undergraduate Research and Creativity Celebration held near the end of the spring semester.
Alex took an in-depth look at why people get tattoos. He told their stories with creative writing and photographs through his project, “Human Experiences: Skin Deep.” He’s hoping to get the work published in the near future.
“This project was inspired by my love for photography and my studies in human sociology. Intrigued by my readings on human behavior and why people do the things they do, I questioned why a person would get tattooed and explored the subject psychologically and artistically.”
A skilled photographer, Alex credits several of his Keystone professors including Dr. David Elliott, Jane Honchell, Ward Roe and Dawn-Middleton Paradise for helping him develop his creative instincts.
“Professors here view you as an individual and work with you to develop your own special talents. It’s definitely not a one size fits all education and that’s what made Keystone special for me.”
