After initially considering pursuing a career as a veterinarian, she realized that education is the best path for her.
“Growing up I used to play ‘teacher’ with my younger cousins. I used to make lesson plans and give them homework. Teaching is second nature for me and I’m ready to do it for the rest of my life or wherever my degree takes me.”
Aniya is off to a great start and gaining more confidence and enthusiasm every day.
“Keystone is proving to me that I can achieve anything if I have the right resources and I set my mind to it. Keystone may be a small school but it’s very powerful from an educational standpoint. I’m convinced I’m getting the best education possible here. You feel like part of a family and not just an ID number. Everyone is really friendly and always willing to help you.”
Based on her experiences so far, Aniya has some sound advice for high school students planning to attend college.
“When considering a college, look at major and minor options, financial aid, and a faculty that will help you and back you up along the way.
