Security and Security Awareness Programs Policy
During New Student Orientations and Mapping Days students and parents are informed of safety and security services offered by the Keystone College Department of Campus Safety. Video and oral presentations outline ways to maintain personal safety and Residence Hall security. Personal Safety and Crime Prevention Programs are offered on a continual basis.
Periodically during the academic year the Department of Campus Safety, in cooperation the Keystone College website, with other law enforcement agencies, present crime prevention awareness sessions, as well as educational sessions on personal safety and residence hall security.
A common theme of all awareness and crime prevention programs is to encourage students and employees to be aware of their responsibility for their own security and the security of others.
In addition to seminars, information is disseminated to students and employees through crime prevention awareness packets, security alert posters, displays, videos, and articles and advertisements in College publications.
When warranted, information will be released to the college community through the use of security alerts (Timely Warnings) via the WENS notification system, college e-mail, KC Morning, the Keystone College website, and postings displayed prominently throughout the campus and in the Residence Halls.
