Social Media Protocol
Social Media Protocol
Requirements:
Keystone College is eager to empower our community to engage in social media efforts and understands that our students, faculty and alumni are our best resource to share the Keystone College experience. Social media is a conversational and interactive form of communication that requires a dedicated team to consistently update and maintain. Because it is a real-time response to the public, the College must be confident that the messaging is appropriate and reflects the Keystone standard of excellence.
In order to become officially Keystone-affiliated, each department must submit a social media request outlining the following to be approved by College Communications:
- Account Information- Department Name, Login* and Password Information and Administrator contact
- Messaging Guidelines- A detailed summary of whom or what the account will represent and examples of content that will be distributed AND discussed.
- Build-Out Guidelines- A list of proposed visuals, copy points, links and administrators that serve as an outline of how the social media channel will be structured.
- Scheduling Guidelines- Keystone requires a minimum 2 hour a week commitment for each social media outlet and will provide a breakdown of Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasks that are to be accomplished.
*In order to maintain brand consistency all Keystone official College Twitter handles must begin with @Keystone.
