Keystone College Policies
Animals on Campus
All individuals bringing a pet or other type of animal onto campus are expected to be aware that the pet or animal may pose real or perceived safety or health issues/threats to others. Such safety or health issues/threats may include, but are not limited to, allergies, accidents, and bites. For this reason, Keystone College prohibits staff, students, contractors, and visitors from taking pets or other animals into any Keystone College owned or leased structure, building, or vehicle.
Accordingly, all individuals bringing pets or animals onto Keystone College campus grounds are required to have the pet or animal on a leash or other appropriate restraint, and are required to maintain control over the pet or animal at all times, in order to minimize risk to others and property.
All individuals are also required to clean up and properly dispose of any waste material left by the animal. Any pet or animal that is deemed to be a nuisance or displays aggressive behavior will be prohibited from Keystone College property.
The Department of Campus Safety and other appropriate Keystone College administrative staff have the authority to enforce this policy. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, fines, or referral to outside law enforcement agencies.
Service animals, sworn law enforcement dogs or other animals used by law enforcement agencies, animals used in approved College sponsored projects, and animals performing in theatrical performances under the direct control of the owner or theatrical agent.
