La Plume –
The band, which originated in Scranton over a decade ago, plays everything from Irish and Celtic music to folk tunes to acoustic rock from the 1950’s and 1960’s through the hits of today at festivals and pubs.
The Quietmen’s earliest musical influences include The Irish Rovers, The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, and The Dubliners. The list has grown over the years to include Great Big Sea; The Saw Doctors; Christy Moore; The Pogues; Jimmy Buffett; The Eagles; Simon & Garfunkel; Crosby, Stills and Nash; and The Monkees, among others.
The Quietmen feature Jamie Ratchford on guitar, vocals, harmonica and kazoo; Paddy Ratchford on keyboards, vocals and bodhran (Irish frame drum); Danny Ratchford on guitar, vocals, mandolin and ukulele; and Molly "Quietgirl" Ratchford-Malone on tin whistle.
