- Keystone again selected as one of nation's top military friendly schools
La Plume – For the fourth consecutive year, Keystone College has been included on a national list of Military Friendly Schools, ranking among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools in the nation that are doing the most to recruit and retain students with military experience.
The 2013 list was released recently by G.I. Jobs Magazine, published by Victory Media, a veteran-owned business based in Coraopolis, Pa. The selection of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey during which G.I. Jobs polled over 12,000 Veterans Administration-approved colleges and universities nationwide.
Methodology and criteria were developed with the assistance of a national academic advisory committee consisting of educators from institutions across the nation. The survey tabulation process and methodology were independently verified by Ernst and Young LLP.
Keystone College President Dr. Edward G. Boehm, Jr. said being included on the list for a fourth straight year again verifies that Keystone values its veteran students.
“Since its founding in 1868, Keystone College has been especially attentive to providing a quality education to men and women who have served our nation so admirably,” Dr. Boehm said. “That’s why we are honored to again be named to this prestigious list of military friendly schools compiled by G.I. Jobs Magazine.”
“Inclusion on the 2013 list of Military Friendly Schools shows Keystone College’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students,” said Sean Collins, director for G.I. Jobs and vice president at Victory Media.
