  • Keystone College Students Hold Benefit Concert for Local Non-Profit Organization

Posted: 11/23/2010

The Keystone College field experience preparation psychology class will conduct a benefit concert for Marley’s Mission Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Vintage Theater, 119 Penn Ave., Scranton.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show will run from 7-11p.m.

As part of their service learning project, class members chose Marley’s Mission, a Lake Ariel non-profit organization that provides equine (horse-assisted) therapy for children who have experienced traumatic events. The concert will provide funding for Marley’s Mission’s new therapy room.

Along with the $6 cover charge, students are accepting monetary donations and new or gently used toys or books for children ages 4 to 18. Musicians volunteering include: “Chet Williams Ensemble,” “Lesser Animals,” and “Adam Catscratch & The Biotech Band.”
