Linder Gallery to Present Will Skrobut Sculpture Exhibit

La Plume --  The Linder Gallery at Keystone College will present an exhibit of sculptural assemblages and photographs by artist Will Skrobut from October 5 through November 20 on its campus in La Plume. The exhibit Will Skrobut: Altars, will feature recent works incorporating found objects and original, pinhole photography by the Easton, Pa. artist. A reception for the artist will be held on Sunday, October 21, from 4-6 p.m. in the gallery, and the public is invited.

Mr. Skrobut's artwork has been shown throughout Pennsylvania, including exhibits at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and in the Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Art Exhibits. One of Mr. Skrobut's works was a first-place award winner in the 2004 NEPA Regional.

"Will Skrobut has a tremendous eye for timeworn objects, and he finds beauty in them that most people would easily overlook," said Drake Gómez, curator of the exhibition. "By combining these objects with other forms and with his own photography, his assemblages reveal the aesthetic potential of even the most humble things."

The artist will also give a presentation on his work on Monday, October 26, at 9 a.m. in Hibbard Campus Center at Keystone College.
