International career expert Stacie Berdan to lecture at Keystone
La Plume – The Keystone College Concerts and Lectures Series will welcome international career expert and award-winning author Stacie Berdan for “Are You Ready for the Global Marketplace?” on Tuesday, November 5 at 7 p.m. in Brooks Theatre. The presentation is free and open to the public.
The presentation will highlight how the global marketplace has changed the dynamics of searching for a good-paying job and provide practical and relevant advice to succeed in the global marketplace. Ms. Berdan will take participants through a lively and interactive discussion on the importance of thinking globally and how individuals can begin building their international experience.
Ms. Berdan is a marketing and communications consultant and award-winning author. She has served as coach, counselor, strategist, and adviser to CEOs, politicians, and senior executives around the world. As a business leader and international careers expert, Ms. Berdan bridges the divide between corporate and education and serves as an important advocate for preparing the next generation to succeed in the global marketplace.
She has made many broadcast appearances, including NBC’s “Weekend Today,” NPR’s “Marketplace,” ABC News’ “Money Matters” and “American This Morning,” CNN International, many FOX appearances, and her work has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Fortune, Time, The Language Editor, and many others.
Ms. Berdan blogs regularly for the Huffington Post and her web site www.stacieberdan.com about the need to prepare American students for the global marketplace. Her first book, Get Ahead By Going Abroad, won two national business awards and identified a fast-tracking career trend regarding women working internationally. Her second book, GO GLOBAL! Launching an International Career Here or Abroad, has received rave reviews as well. Her most recent book, A Student’s Guide to Studying Abroad, co-authored with Dr. Allan Goodman, was published this past summer.
Ms. Berdan spent the majority of her career at communications firm Burson-Marsteller and then worked for consumer product company Unilever. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Florida Atlantic University and also completed graduate coursework in English literature.
