Global Chef EduardoLa Plume – Members of the Keystone College community will have the opportunity on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 to enjoy authentic Brazilian cuisine prepared by expert South American chef Maira Eduardo.

Chef Eduardo’s visit is part of the Global Chef Program, a month-long international chef residency program sponsored by Sodexo, the international company which provides dining services for Keystone and more than 850 other colleges and universities across the United States. The program provides an opportunity for Sodexo’s top international chefs to travel to different countries and share international cuisine with members of college communities.

On Thursday, October 31 Chef Eduardo will be the guest chef in the College’s Student Restaurant where she will prepare classic Brazilian dishes with the assistance of Keystone culinary students. She will then work with Keystone students to prepare evening meals for Keystone’s Chef’s Table on-campus fine dining restaurant. On Friday, November 1, from noon–2 p.m., Chef Eduardo will prepare a special meal for invited guests in Keystone’s President’s Dining Room.

Chef Eduardo has been a successful and well-respected chef for restaurants in Brazil and with Sodexo, where she specializes in teaching other chefs about international cuisine and the importance of environmental sustainability in the culinary arts.

“Sodexo’s Global Chef program provide a unique culinary learning experience for Keystone students and the entire college community, said Sodexo’s Mike Lusk, general manager of culinary services at Keystone. “The program also enables Sodexo culinary teams to better understand world cuisine and international culture. We are delighted to support the learning process through the culinary talents of Chef Eduardo and Sodexo chefs worldwide.”
