Observatory announces spring sessions
La Plume - The Keystone College Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory will begin its spring series of public lectures and viewing sessions Wednesday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. and continue each Wednesday and Friday through May 30.
Open to the public and free of charge, the spring sessions will be held regardless of sky conditions and will be cancelled by the threat of severe weather.
This season’s programs will include an illustrated lecture and telescopic observations. The main objects planned for viewing include the Moon, the planets Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, and various double stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

The Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory is located approximately two miles west of exit 202 off Interstate 81 and approximately two miles east of Fleetville on Route 107.
